OC Fair Virtual 5K Fun Run

This year’s 5K Fun Run is going virtual and includes some brand-new OC Fair goodies and a medal, plus entry to the 2021 Fair. With most running and walking events canceled, this is a great way to get some exercise with friends or family at your own pace, on your own schedule.

Those interested can register for $35 per adult and $22.50 for children under age 12, complete the 3.1 miles between July 17 and August 18 then go online and record their time. All the goodies will be sent to the participants by mail.

Pipeline to a Cure Goes Virtual

Even though the big Pipeline to a Cure event to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has been canceled this year, they’re having a fun 30-minute reminder of what we're all missing out on. Join them on Saturday, July 18 at 5 p.m. for a Pipeline to a Cure party, which will be held on Facebook Live.

This reimagined Pipeline party will include special messages from a few of our supporters, including legendary surfer Dave Kalama, baseball legend Tim Salmon, Olympic swimmers Jason Lezak and Rowdy Gaines, and special performances from Flashback Heart Attack and The Kalama Brothers. Although we are adapting to the current climate, our focus remains clear: celebrate the unique connection between the ocean and cystic fibrosis while raising critical funds to support cystic fibrosis research and care.
 
They to commemorate what has become the most popular and anticipated philanthropic event in Orange County. Details to join the event can be found on the Pipeline to a Cure website, here, and will be emailed to you next week. For more information, contact Shaina Flesser at Sflesser@cff.org.
