UCI MIND Presents: Distinguished Lecture on the Brain with Dr. Reisa Sperling

03.01.20

On Tuesday, March 3, you’re invited to attend UCI MIND’s 2020 Distinguished Lecture on the Brain, “Can We Detect and Treat Alzheimer’s Disease a Decade Before Dementia? (And Why We Must!),” with guest speaker Dr. Reisa Sperling, Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School in Boston at the Irvine Barclay Theatre.

Dr. Sperling is a clinical neurologist, a neuroimaging researcher, and a leading force in the movement toward earlier diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.

Her pioneering work in multi-modality brain imaging has helped advance the field’s understanding of memory changes in aging and early Alzheimer’s disease.

She is actively working on clinical trials of potential disease-modifying therapies, including secondary prevention trials in asymptomatic individuals with biomarker evidence of preclinical Alzheimer’s disease.

During this informative lecture, Dr. Sperling will discuss progress toward early detection and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease. She will also address questions from the audience.

There is no cost to attend the event; however, space is limited and RSVPs are required at thebarclay.org.

Ticket limit is two per transaction. For group reservations, please call 949.824.9896.

Parking is $10 in the adjacent parking lot.

Irvine Barclay Theatre is at 4242 Campus Drive in Irvine.
