Roseland y Mar: A Sustainably-Conscious Pop-Up at The OC Mix

Come say hello to Roseland y Mar – a new pop-up boutique at The OC Mix that’s open now through September 15. Carrying sustainably conscious clothing, accessories, and self-care items, all clothing pieces are created to “grow and change with the individual over time” (and they offer a unique ‘buy-back” option to help keep clothing out of landfills!)
Roseland y Mar (RyM) was born from a founder with a passion for sharing designers’ unique stories while helping consumers make more socially conscious buying and clothing care decisions.
The result is a collective of sustainable and durable fashion and wellness essentials that support the slow fashion movement. RyM uses interactive and eye-catching visuals in its retail store to educate the public on the role of clothing and fashion in sustainability (currently, there is a visual in front of the store that shows you what 81 lbs. of clothing looks like – the average amount per person that’s sent to landfills each year.) To further aid the slow fashion movement, Roseland y Mar is developing a Care Society to teach and inspire clothing care and longevity.

The Rooftop Lounge partners with Gelato Festival

The Rooftop Lounge-- a Laguna Beach-local favorite, which recently underwent a renovation and rebrand to invoke the building’s roots in Hollywood’s golden age-- has partnered with the Los Angeles-based artisanal gelateria Gelato Festival to add a selection of popsicles, gelato cones, and gelato sandwiches to the restaurant’s permanent dessert menu. Gelato Festival, which hosts the most prestigious individual gelato tournament in the world, offers “the world’s best” icy desserts, crafted using the finest quality, organic and fair-trade certified ingredients-- which are perfect complements to The Rooftop’s scenic outdoor setting.
The Rooftop Lounge is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday for lunch and dinner, with brunch served Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
