JDRF at Home Presents World-renowned cellist Alisa Weilerstein

Join a special virtual event featuring world-renowned cellist and JDRF Ambassador Alisa Weilerstein on Thursday, January 21 at 5 p.m. PT. During this one-hour livestream, you and your family will enjoy an exclusive performance by Alisa as she shares stories about her career in music and journey with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Alisa Weilerstein is one of today’s foremost cellists.

Since making her professional debut in her early teens, she has been in high demand as a solo recitalist, chamber musician and concerto soloist with leading orchestras worldwide. Diagnosed with T1D at nine years old, Alisa is a staunch advocate for the T1D community. She lives in San Diego with her husband, Venezuelan conductor Rafael Payare, and their young child.

All classes are presented on Zoom, and are interactive, allowing viewers to cook, shake and stir along and ask questions during the class.
