Orangewood Foundation’s Youth Connected Program Virtual Tours + Information Sessions

Have you considered becoming a foster parent, but are unsure what it involves? Would changing the course of a teen’s life add meaning to your own? Orange County-based Orangewood Foundation has just launched the Youth Connected Program (YCP), an innovative new program that supports teens in foster care and their foster parents and caregivers (also known as” resource parents”).
Through Friday, December 11, interested individuals, couples and families can tune in to learn more about the YCP program and take a virtual tour of the campus where students will live during the school season when not at home with their foster families.
The goal of Orangewood Foundation’s new Youth Connected Program is to provide a world-class education at the organization’s Samueli Academy in Santa Ana, stable living arrangements for foster youth in on-campus dorms in a “family style” setting, and resource parents to house and connect with the teens on weekends, holidays and any time in between. Resource parents in the program receive 24/7 social worker support, training on relevant topics, in-home teaching models to assist and parent partners to help navigate life as a foster parent.
