Love Struck – At Home Cocktail How To by Balboa Bay Resort
02.01.21
Since most of us will be enjoying a special date night IN this year, Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach has come up with a new at-home Valentine’s Day cocktail recipe to help you celebrate!
The “Love Struck,” a deliciously sweet and tart champagne-based cocktail, is the perfect elixir for you and your sweetheart, or even for your (small) Galentine’s gathering!
Additionally, for couples looking for a romantic and safe Valentine’s Day staycation, Balboa Bay Resort is now offering the “Just The Two of Us” package, which includes a romantic balcony set up and chocolate-covered strawberries upon arrival, a $50 dining credit to A&O, a bespoke cocktail making kit, and complimentary late check-out (based on availability).
“Love Struck” Ingredients:
- Your preferred champagne or sparkling wine
- .5 oz rose syrup
- .25 oz strawberry syrup
- Crushed freeze-dried raspberries
- 4 fresh raspberries for garnish
Directions:
- Crush a handful of freeze-dried raspberries.
- Use a wedge of citrus to dampen the rim of the flute glass and lightly place into the raspberry dust.
- Fill glass halfway with champagne or sparkling wine.
- Add both syrups and stir.
- Top with champagne or sparkling wine.
- Finish with two fresh raspberries per glass for garnish.
Enjoy!

Grand Central Art Center Hosts The Adjacent Possible.
02.01.21
Grand Central Art Center presents The Adjacent Possible, a live, online theater experience that mixes storytelling, improvisational performance, and technology to transform the audience into an orchestra. The experience culminates in the performance of a piece of music that is published - the first and last ever to take place. No musical experience is required. The Adjacent Possible does not use participants' microphone or camera - making it a safe and renewing experience for anyone.
The Adjacent Possible, a term adapted from theoretical biologist Stuart Kaufman, uses music making as a vehicle to explore the nature of togetherness, desire, and possibility.
First delivered as a physical performance by artist Joshua-Michele Ross before the pandemic, The Adjacent Possible has been reimagined as an immersive, virtual experience through an exquisite collaboration with Adam Brick and Adam Lucas.
Each performance is limited to 20 participants. Register HERE or directly in the links below.
