Sgt. Pepperoni’s Partners With CHOC for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
09.11.25
This September, Sgt. Pepperoni’s Pizza Store is teaming up with Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), part of Rady Children’s Health, to raise funds and collect LEGO® sets for the Cherese Mari Laulhere Child Life Department during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
All month long, proceeds from the Pizza of the Month and every dessert sold at Sgt. Pepperoni’s four Orange County locations will benefit CHOC’s child life department. The program helps patients and families feel more comfortable in the hospital by making medical equipment and procedures less intimidating.
In addition to ordering from the menu, guests are invited to donate new LEGO® sets at any location. These will be delivered directly to CHOC.
The centerpiece of the campaign is the LEGO® Fest Party at the Newport Beach store on Sept. 17 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. On that day, 100% of revenue from all four Sgt. Pepperoni’s restaurants will be donated. The team is also encouraging catering orders, giving companies, families and friends an opportunity to turn pizza into meaningful support for CHOC.
As part of this year’s effort, Sgt. Pepperoni’s staff visited CHOC on Sept. 10 to serve food and host pizza nights for patients, families and hospital staff on the oncology floor and in the outpatient infusion center.
The restaurant has set a goal of raising more than $100,000 and collecting hundreds of LEGO® sets. Local businesses and individuals are also invited to participate as matching donors to amplify the campaign’s impact.
Founded and operated by childhood friends and their families, Sgt. Pepperoni’s is known for giving back through community fundraisers, including its annual support of CHOC Child Life.
