Celebrate Summer at 2ND & PCH with Outdoor Events July and August
07.08.21
2ND & PCH, Long Beach’s open air coastal retail, dining and lifestyle center invites the community to soak up summer with a number of complimentary outdoor experiences in July and August, including the launch of a new music series.
The Sounds of Summer music series brings live musical performances from an eclectic mix of Southern California artists and genres every Tuesday evening 6 pm to 8 p.m. through August 24th. The series kicks off with an acoustic set from Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Tom Norman. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Tom’s musical style is influenced by the soulful sounds of Otis Redding and Van Morrison combined with the rocking pulse of Led Zeppelin and The Beatles — all topped off with the modern sensibilities of The Black Keys, Ed Sheeran and Justin Timberlake. For a full performance schedule visit 2ndandpch.com.
PCH Movies & Moonlight continues with Summer Fridays starting July 16th with a special feature of Toy Story 4 joined by special guests in advance of the movie starting. The 6-week series continues through August 20th. Movies are complimentary to the community; self-seating will be available on a first come first serve basis. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. 2ND & PCH offers an array of restaurants, retailers and specialty services within the center for the community to enjoy before, during or after the movie.
Creative Communal Makers Market returns July 18th 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. along Seaport Way. This uniquely curated open-air market is the ideal location to shop for handcrafted treasures featuring over thirty local makers, photo ops and mini sessions as well as surprise character visits from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Live music on the grand staircase includes performances from singer-songwriter and American Idol contestant Taylor Sackson 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and groovy sounds from vinyl record radio show The Sunday Spins 4 to 6 p.m.
