Lido House Hotel Introduces All-New Culinary Programming
07.18.22
Lido House, Marriott’s boutique Autograph Collection hotel on the Balboa Peninsula, enters into summer with all-new culinary programming. To celebrate their busiest season, Executive Chef-Partner Riley Huddleston has introduced a reinvigorated culinary program, complete with new menus across each of the boutique hotel’s dining outlets, including The Mayor’s Table, Topside Roof Deck, Crew Coffee & Cremerie, and its pool.
At Mayor’s Table, named for its location at the former site of the city’s town hall, Huddleston highlights the vibrant flavors of seasonal ingredients. Offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, the menus for summer showcase seasonality through artfully plated dishes. Lunchtime offerings draw inspiration from around the globe with starters like Sea Bass Ceviche with watermelon radish and halved tomatoes topped with Yuzu dressing and Wagyu Bao Buns with pickled onions and ponzu butter. Dinner selections showcase elegant starters like Hamachi Crudo with a mosaic of strawberry, avocado, and spring radish with white soy vinaigrette, and elevated mains like Maine Lobster Pasta with house-made orecchiette made with activated charcoal and fresh lobster.
Guests can embark on a culinary journey with “Dine Like a Mayor,” a prix-fixe menu featuring Huddleston’s daily selection of starters, entrees, and dessert. Weekend Brunch offers “Wow” items like the Kachapurri with cheese, ham, and poached eggs, and the Large Dutch Oven Pancake served with rotating seasonal toppings.
Huddleston’s Kitchen Cocktails program, which features a rotation of three meticulously crafted cocktails each season, earned Mayor’s Table a nod from Tales of the Cocktail in their 2022 Spirited Awards® as a Regional Top 10 Honoree for Best US Hotel Bar – West. These seasonal cocktails mirror the ethos of the kitchen and are crafted with the same artistry and attention to detail as the restaurant’s most illustrious dishes.
As Newport Beach’s only rooftop bar, Topside Roof Deck is a beacon for local sunset-seekers and travelers alike. Boasting panoramic views of Newport’s peninsula, marina, and beaches, Topside is a community hotspot offering guests a selection of hand-crafted cocktails, small bites, and premium Champagnes, including its namesake Signature Lido House Cuvée, one-of-a-kind collaboration with French Champagne House, Piper Heidsieck. In addition to its popular Topside Margarita presented with a seasonal popsicle, guests can look forward to a new menu of elevated summertime libations, including Beach Day, a visually striking, bright blue superfood-infused cocktail; Summer Lovin’, a strawberry-infused vodka cocktail with notes of rose and bergamot topped with kiwi pearls; and The Jungle a robust cocktail that brings into balance the sweetness of reposado tequila with roasted banana.
Inspired additions to Lido House’s boutique cafe, Crew Coffee + Cremerie, include the Chagaccino, an antioxidant-rich mushroom latte; Strawberries & Cream, an iced espresso beverage crafted with house-made strawberry milk; and a selection of Bubble Milk Coffee made with espresso-soaked tapioca pearls. The Lido House Pool is the perfect locale for guests to lounge and luxuriate with a cocktail in hand. Its summer menu of poolside bites includes hearty options like the “Award-Winning” Burger made with wagyu beef to a refreshing Grilled Steak Salad served with a creamy chimichurri dressing. Over-the-top cocktails include sorbet-based margarita flights and orangesicle mimosas.
Lido House Hotel is located on the Newport Beach Peninsula (3300 Newport Blvd). The Mayor’s Table is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with brunch served on the weekends. Topside is open Wednesday - Sunday.
