St. John is launching its new 2010 swim and resort collection on Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the St. John Boutique at South Coast Plaza. Marie Gray of St. John and Marta Bhathal and Lisa Vogel from RAJ will be there, and a portion of the proceeds will support Girls Inc.The local non-profit youth group is dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold. The first OC Jonathan Adler store just opened at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. The NY-based designer, who started with a line of chic handcrafted pottery, is also known for his sanguine and quirky home furnishings including contemporary lighting, throw pillows, mod furniture and gifts. Among many things, we like this Morrow Slipper Chair. Open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Fashion Island in Newport Beach. 949.759.0017.
