Holidays Around the World at Segerstrom Center for the Arts
12.06.23
In 2017, Holidays Around the World was conceived with the vision of transforming Segerstrom Center for the Arts into a captivating holiday destination, a place where all seasonal celebrations could come to life. This cherished event offers families in Orange County a wonderful opportunity to come together and embrace the diverse holiday traditions of various ethnicities and nationalities, all at no cost.
The Julianne and George Argyros Plaza undergoes a magical transformation on Sunday, December 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., turning into a breathtaking winter wonderland. Here, attendees can relish a myriad of performances by local music acts and dance groups, each paying homage to global holiday customs. Children can engage in creative seasonal crafts, strike a pose in a festive photo booth, savor complimentary hot cocoa, and even witness a touch of holiday enchantment with the glistening snowfall on the plaza.
This year's exciting lineup features:
- Mariachi Los Santaneros accompanied by ballet folklorico dancers
- Belle3Musique, along with members of the OC Cello Choir
- The Chinese Dance Company of Southern California
- The American Ballet Theatre
- The Reverb Tap Company
- The Gospel Voices of OC Youth Choir
Adding to the festivities, the Orange County Public Libraries mobile library will be on-site, showcasing an array of children's holiday books for all to explore and enjoy.
