Shape Up Dailey for Summer
06.17.14
Just in time to shape up for summer, The Dailey Method in Newport Beach, a fitness-focused barre workout for core conditioning and good posture through spinal alignment, just added two new classes: Dailey Interval, the first of its kind in Orange County, along with a special Kids Yoga class for summer.
Dailey Interval is a 45-minute interval class based on the principles of the Dailey Method, but also with heart-strengthening benefits by combining periods of high and low intensity movements. The class includes four interval periods, several stretching and recovering series, as well as a fast-paced warm-up and final push.
The Interval classes are offered at the Newport Beach studio Mondays at 5:45 p.m., Tuesdays at 8:30 a.m. and Thursdays at 9:45 a.m.
Kids Yoga, includes approximately 40 minutes of playful yoga and yoga-inspired games, along with 20 minutes of craft time. Kids Yoga is only available to purchase in conjunction with a regular class package, so parents must attend a barre class in the studio while their children participate in the Kids Yoga. The classes cost $20 per session or $75 for five sessions, June 16, 20, 23, 27 and 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
The Dailey Method is at 200 Newport Center Drive, #308, in Newport Beach. 949.706.0800.

The Jersey Boys Coming to OC
06.17.14
The highly anticipated musical, “Jersey Boys” will be making its run at Segerstrom Center in Costa Mesa on Tuesday, June 24 through Sunday, July 13. Not only will theatregoers be treated to the Tony Award-winning musical, but they can also attend a pre-party one hour prior to each show in the retro themed ‘60s lobby.
Tasty themed snacks will be offered at the Fire Bird Cafe on the Orchestra level lobby from Patina Restaurant Group, and a jukebox will spin tunes from the early ‘60s.
Guests can take photos and pose as their own singing group on The Segerstrom Hour stage adorned with memorabilia and fun props, as well as share them on social media sites using hashtag #JerseyBoysOC.
“Jersey Boys” tells the legendary story on stage of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi, and how this agroup of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide – even before they turned 30.
Show times, tickets and more information can be found here.
