Gritty Up Kick Off Party at Oak Grill
05.26.15
By Andrea Hammer
Enjoy an evening of fine food, wine, and prizes--all for a good cause. Orange County's most popular indoor cycling studio, GRIT Cycle, is hosting the 2015 Gritty Up Kick Off Party on Friday, May 29, from 5-8 p.m. at the Island Hotel's Oak Grill, with all proceeds benefiting the John Wayne Cancer Foundation.
The event includes hors d'oeuvres, wine, and a silent auction featuring hotel stays and spa retreats. The event preludes GRIT Cycle's "Gritty Up" indoor cycling ride on May 30. Marisa Wayne, who co-founded GRIT Cycle in 2013, has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in memory of her father and famous actor John Wayne.
Gritty Up events raised over $200,000 in 2014 alone, helping to fund cancer support, research, and education.
