LONG BEACH CRAFT BEER & TACO FESTIVAL

The Long Beach Taco & Beer Festival on Saturday, July 16 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Shoreline Aquatic Park celebrates craft beer, fusion tacos and live music. Some of the city’s most talented chefs will be preparing $2 fusion-style tacos to support the local Community Aid Project for Education. The region’s top breweries will be serving artisan beers and you can enjoy live music from reggae rock band Tomorrows Bad Seeds as well as other local bands and DJs.
All guests must be 21 years of age or older.
Tickets cost $60 for general admission and $75 for VIP admission. General admission is from 3 to 6 p.m. and includes unlimited beer tasting, commemorative tasting cups and access to gourmet food trucks ($2 tacos). VIP admission gets you one hour early access from 2 to 6 p.m. and unlimited beer tasting, free mimosa bar (VIP only), commemorative tasting cups, access to gourmet food trucks ($2 tacos). Designated Driver tickets cost $20 at the door.

2nd annual Sunday Supper at Provenance

Provenance in Newport Beach will be celebrating its 2nd annual Sunday Supper on Sunday, July 17 at 3 p.m. with a New England Clam Bake California Style! Chef Cathy Pavlos will be presenting a four-course menu, complemented by a choice of artisanal wines from California and Italy or local craft beers.
The Sunday Supper Clam Bake starts with a first course of Newport, Rhode Island-style Clam Chowder, drawn butter, oyster crackers and tabasco with choice of
Zardetto Prosecco Brut, Italy or Scrimshaw Beer on Draft, Mendocino.
The second course is a Caesar Salad, with locally grown heirloom tomatoes, biscuits and housemade honey butter with choice of Tolosa Unoaked Chardonnay, 2014, Edna Valley, CA or Coulter Draft IPA, Cismontaine Brewing Co., Rancho Santa Margarita.
The main course is Lobster steamed in beer, Portuguese steamed Clams, Mussels, and Shrimp with Chorizo, new potatoes with three sausages, grilled corn on the cob, chilled watermelon slices with choice of ONX Indie Tempranillo Rose, 2015 Paso Robles or Boont Amber Ale, Anderson Valley.
The delicious dessert is Warm Blueberry turnovers with French Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Fresh Peach Sauce with cafe Lavazza.
Cost is $85 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
