24 Hours of Wildflowers

In celebration of spring and wildflower season, Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks is hosting 24 Hours of Wildflowers on Tuesday, March 21. Thanks to the recent rains, wildflowers are especially spectacular this season. Every hour for 24 hours starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, you can view a different native wildflower on Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks’ Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts.

You can also see the beautiful wildflowers in person by attending a guided walk, docent-led mountain bike ride, or a self-guided hike or bike ride. You can view the activities, programs and opportunities available at Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks Let’s Go Outside.

yoga, music and healthy living at Soul Fuel Yoga Fest

You can attend the second annual Soul Fuel Yoga Fest at Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina on the Marina Terrace—with incredible views over the marina— on Saturday, March 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Free and open to all who share a passion for yoga, music and healthy living while embracing a collaboration of local artists, teachers, vendors and businesses, joining forces to promote healthy living and support the Monarch School, a trailblazing school in San Diego designed to educate homeless youth—the only one of its kind in the United States. 

Wellness Warrior Hella Neumann, who spearheads Marriott Marquis’ renowned fitness program—and developed the hotel’s popular in-room yoga program—will lead two yoga classes along with notable yoga instructors Steven Cummings and Gina Shiotani. Yoga Class 1: The first will take place from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. with a live performance by Steve Gold, a singer, musician, and songwriter, whose contemplative music has become a mainstay in the global yoga culture.

Yoga Class 2: Soul Fuel’s second class will take place from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. with a live performance by soulful ukulele songstress, Aja Lee. Partnering vendors include Arctic Zero, Aloe Gloe, Perfect Bar, Suja Juice, Clearly Kombucha, Everyday California, Marriott Marquis’ Hideaway Spa, doTERRA, Your Healthy Spine, Sol ti and more. There will be yoga mats onsite but participants are encouraged to bring their own. With proceeds going to Monarch School, attendees are encouraged to give a $10 donation for the cause.
