Costa Mesa Native Runs NYC Marathon to End Type 1 Diabetes

08.08.16

Costa Mesa native, Mckenna Cottam will be running the New York City Marathon on Nov. 6, 2016  to raise funds for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). She chose JDRF as her charity, in an effort positively affect people in her life. “26.2 miles is hard. Type 1 Diabetes is harder!” Cottam said. “Any donations are welcome and I would be more than grateful to have your support. “

You can help support JDRF and Cottam’s NYC Marathon fundraising efforts, by donating here.

JDRF exists for the millions of children, adults and families challenged by type 1 diabetes (T1D) every single day. Their determination to overcome this chronic, life-threatening disease strengthens JDRF’s mission to end it. JDRF is uniquely positioned to advance groundbreaking therapies through the research pipeline to better treat and, one day, even prevent and cure T1D. But they can't do it without you.
