Kestan, the womenswear and accessory retailer located in The OC Mix at SOCO Costa Mesa is offering an evening of engaging conversation, networking and light bites and sips on Tuesday, August 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. The free event offers an insight on all things business from a panel of dynamic entrepreneurial women as they discuss various topics including how to inspire through leadership and authenticity, overcoming adversity in the workforce, managing your business and personal brand image, and maintaining personal wellness.
The panel will consist of Andrea Marr, Senior Project Manager at Willdan & Doctoral in Student-Leadership from the University of San Diego; Jennifer Fu, Attorney and Managing Partner of Amity Law Group LLP,; Carrie Williams, Founder and Principal of Kitchen Table Marketing + Public Relations; and Jennifer Herdman, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

We Care Wednesday Clothing Drive at OC Fair

The OC Fair and Goodwill of Orange County are joining forces for a special We Care Wednesday clothing drive on Wednesday, August 8. From noon to 3 p.m., guests who bring five new or gently-used clothing items per person to the OC Fair for donation to Goodwill of Orange County will receive same-day free admission and one free carnival ride.
The money raised from reselling the goods collected at the OC Fair have made a huge impact on Goodwill’s ability to connect unemployed or underemployed individuals, no matter the challenge or disability, with job opportunities.
In other words, the donations collected on We Care Wednesday help those with barriers to employment find purpose, pride, and dignity. The power of these donated goods is probably greater than you think.
Every pair of jeans donated allows someone in the community to receive access to six minutes of career counseling. Every t-shirt, dress and scarf donated funds additional minutes of training for people with disabilities, veterans and others who are trying to get back on their feet.
OC Fair & Event Center is at 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa.
