”Under the Tuscan Sun” International Culinary Tours

Time to make your travel plans to Italy! Orange County-based International Culinary Tours is hosting an “Under the Tuscan Sun” tour to Cortona, Tuscany, Italy on October 11-18, 2019. Only six spots are left for this culinary tour.
Yoga, cooking and culinary highlights include:
- Stay in a 15th century historic Villa in the village of Cortona.
- Visit two wineries and taste Brunello and Chianti wines in central Tuscany.
- Explore the medieval hill top villages in Tuscany.
- Prepare and enjoy local Tuscan specialties with your private chef.
- Stroll on ancient paths through the Tuscan countryside.
- Practice yoga in a natural environment on the Villa grounds.
$3195 per person, double occupancy
You can extend your tour to the following places: Pre-tour in Florence in the Tuscany region; post tour in Modena in the Emilia-Romagna region.

Learning to Grow YOur Own at Roger’s Gardens

Not only is Roger’s Gardens committed to educating garden enthusiasts with informative seminars, events, and workshops, they’re also helping students to understand the importance of fresh, healthy homegrown vegetables, herbs and fruits.
Roger’s Gardens provides unlimited plants and supplies to Newport Beach Public Elementary Schools to assist them in engaging and educating their students in edible gardening.
Supplies are made available at no cost for school garden use. These supplies include all plants, such as vegetable and herbs, seeds, fruit and berry plants, etc. Supplies include organic soils and soil amendments and organic fertilizers.
On Saturday, June 1 at 9 a.m. at Roger’s Gardens you can attend a free Grow Your Own seminar with expert Horticulturist, David Rizzo. He’ll share gardening tips about everything edible: vegetables, herbs, fruits, berries and more. Emphasis this month will cover topics such as care of tomatoes and other warm season vegetables, strawberry care and summer pruning and thinning of deciduous fruit trees. Bring your questions, and your own tips and tricks, as audience participation is encouraged.
Open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
