SoCal Native & Broadway Star Mandy Gonzalez at Irvine Barclay Theatre
10.22.19
The talented star of the Tony Award-winning hit musicals Hamilton, Wicked and In the Heights, Mandy Gonzalez, will appear at Irvine Barclay Theatre this Sunday, October 27 at 7 p.m. Gonzalez, who possesses one of the most powerful and versatile contemporary voices of our time, will perform with Javier Munoz, singing music of their friends Lin-Manuel Miranda, Stephen Schwartz and other extraordinary songwriters who have inspired them.
Born and raised in the Santa Clarita Valley, Gonzalez is taking time from her role of Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton to appear at the Irvine Barclay Theatre with Muñoz, who stepped into the shoes of Lin-Manuel Miranda when he took over the lead role of Alexander Hamilton in the Broadway blockbuster, Hamilton. Miranda himself has said Gonzalez is “one of the greatest singers on earth.”
Mandy Gonzalez: From Stephen Schwartz to Lin-Manuel Miranda is an exclusive concert event taking place at the Soraya on Oct 26, and at Irvine Barclay Theatre on Oct 27. Tickets for the Irvine Barclay Theatre performance are available from $48 to $110 and can be purchased at thebarclay.org.
Irvine Barclay Theatre is located at 4242 Campus Drive, adjacent to UC Irvine, in Irvine. For more information visit thebarclay.org or call 949.854.4646.
