12th annual Leaders Build Challenge
11.11.20
At the 12th annual Leaders Build Challenge on Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13 business and community leaders will put on their hard hats to build affordable homes for deserving families in Orange County. This year, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County's (Habitat OC) fundraising event will look a little different to comply with COVID-19 regulations, taking place over two days instead of one to allow for greater distancing and safety. The money raised during this year’s event in Fullerton will support construction on more homes for families in the area.
For more than a decade, the Leaders Build Challenge has mobilized the Orange County business community to step out of their offices and onto a construction site to create a future where families have an affordable place to live.
With COVID-19 impacting the most vulnerable communities, this year’s Leaders Build Challenge comes at an important time so that Habitat OC can continue to provide stability, community and an opportunity to create a better life for families in need.
Each team of executives competes for first place by raising money for the organization online leading up to the day of the Challenge, then closing out the competition with a day of hands-on work and construction-themed games where they can rack up points. This year's event will comply with COVID-19 regulations and participants will be provided with personal protective equipment (PPE).
