Miguel’s Jr. Holiday Tamales And Flavorful Pozole This Winter

Miguel’s Jr. is rolling out its famous holiday tamales and heartwarming pozole to celebrate the winter season. Mary’s Tamales will be available through December 31 and homemade pozole will remain on the winter menu through February 16.
Housemade with 100% stone-ground premium masa, Miguel’s Jr. tamales are hand-crafted and prepared following Miguel’s Restaurants’ Founder and Chief Recipe Officer, Mary Vasquez’s secret recipe. Choose from slow-roasted succulent California Chile or perfectly seasoned Chile Rojo Pork and pre-order Mary’s Tamales online by the dozen. Tamale enthusiasts can mix and match flavors to try both award-winning recipes. Mary’s Tamales are also available a-la-carte for a meal anytime.
To prepare for the cold days ahead, Mary’s zesty, house-made pozole is also making an appearance on the Miguel’s Jr. winter menu through February 16. This traditional Mexican soup features slow-simmered chile-based broth generously filled with tender hominy and a choice of Miguel’s Jr.'s authentically seasoned shredded chicken or slow-roasted Chile Verde Pork. Mary’s pozole is available in three sizes including a 16 oz. entree portion, a 32oz bowl, and a 64oz “pot size” for at-home family celebrations. This year, the flavorful and meaty pozole is served with a side of lemons, cabbage and onions for fans to customize to their preference.

Patty’s Cakes & Desserts Celebrates National Cupcake Day with Free Cupcakes

Patty’s Cakes & Desserts has a delicious celebration planned for National Cupcake Day! On Tuesday, December 15, the award-winning, the family-owned bakery will be giving away free cupcakes at its location in Fullerton. For the past 35 years, founder Patty Gomez has been bringing joy to her community with fresh-baked deliciousness, including cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and more.
As California faces tighter restrictions, Gomez is committed to spreading holiday cheer at a time when SoCal needs it most. Guests who visit her bakeshop on National Cupcake Day will receive a free cupcake with their purchase. Patrons will be able to pick from nearly 100 flavors of cupcakes available daily, including 50 regular, 21 vegan, and 20 gluten-free varieties, all of which are iced-to-order. Gomez’s bakery offers one of the largest and most comprehensive cupcake menus in the country with unique and festive flavors, including Peppermint Patty, Apple Bliss, and Lemon Drop.
To ensure guests can safely celebrate National Cupcake Day, Patty’s Cakes & Desserts has placed floor markers to designate proper social distancing and will require guests to wear masks.
Open Tuesday - Saturday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. for takeout, curbside pickup, and delivery.
