Musco Center Presents Micaela Taylor
09.20.21
Musco Center Presents
Micaela Taylor and The TL Collective
Drift & '90Sugar (Premiere)
Friday, September 24, 2021, 7:30 p.m.
A brilliant dancer-choreographer and her company perform two exciting new works
Dancer-choreographer Micaela Taylor and her TL Collective take center stage for their Musco Center debut upon a swelling wave of national acclaim. They perform two visionary original works: Drift, which explores an individual’s relationship to self, and premiere '90Sugar, a whimsical contemporary look at young adult life in our hyper-paced millennial world.
Known for her captivating facial expressions and riveting, athletic movements, Taylor has become a standout performer both in her hometown of Los Angeles and beyond, earning the Inaugural Springboard EMERGE Choreographic Award and gracing the cover of Dance Magazine's "25 to Watch” in 2019. She draws from the full spectrum of dance, classical to contemporary, to create work that emanates "a subtle spirituality" with “a choreographic voice that resonates across dance genres." (Dance magazine)
Always original, Taylor founded her own innovative dance company, TL Collective, and created a new dance movement style called Expand Practice, which encourages individuals to “expand their mind, body, and narrative."
Don’t miss the opportunity to experience The TL Collective before their national tour and view the premiere of ‘90Sugar in the first show inside Musco Center for the 21-22 Season.
Tickets for Micaela Taylor and The TL Collective are on sale now at muscocenter.org or by calling 844-OC-MUSCO (844-626-8726).
