Slapfish Launches Line of Signature Hot Sauces

07.29.21

Slapfish, the modern seafood shack known for its high quality and sustainable seafood, has launched a line of signature hot sauces for sale online. The Slapfish sauces are all-natural and gluten-free, with no msg or preservatives. Initially offering three flavors, the casual seafood brand will expand its line of sauces and launch seasonings later this year.

The Slapfish Signature Red Hot Sauce, or Trinidad, is named after the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion pepper and its origin on the southwest coast of Trinidad. This red sauce is the most traditional, beginning with a trace of vinegar, and quickly offset by the peak of peppered flavor, then finishing with a light tingle of spice leading to the next bite.

The Pineapple Habanero is a hot sauce that can be enjoyed by most anyone. The Habanero pepper and fresh Pineapple create a cool, sweet taste that elevates in warmth from bite to bite. This sauce is terrific on tacos, chicken, and pizza.

The Slapfish Cali Verde is a milder green hot sauce that jumps from a cool lime base to the heat of jalapenos. Each bite is even in flavor and effect, and the jalapenos do not overpower the addition to any dish. This sauce pairs well with tacos, chicken, fish, or any dish where you’d like to turn up the flavor and add a little heat.

The sauces are available in 5oz bottles for $8 and can be shipped anywhere in the U.S. and Canada. Purchase the sauces, Slapfish apparel, and other merchandise at slapfishrestaurant.com

07.28.21

The NFL team, the LA Chargers, return to Costa Mesa at the Jack Hammett Sports Complex and welcome fans to visit training camp and the fan fest area on one of 15 practice days beginning today. The camp is open to the public free of charge and fans must register online in advance to attend.

As in previous years, fans will need to pre-register for their free tickets. More information on availability and access can be found at chargers.com/camp. All covered seating and observation space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Additionally, after a one-year hiatus, the Bolts will once again hold joint practices during training camp – this year welcoming the San Francisco 49ers to Costa Mesa. The Chargers and 49ers will practice Thursday, August 19 and Friday, August 20 at Jack Hammett Sports Complex to conclude public training camp before preseason begins at SoFi Stadium.

As in years past, training camp at Jack Hammett Sports Complex offers fans of any age the opportunity to watch the Bolts practice in person and cheer for their favorite players in close proximity to the field. While capacity is limited, bleacher seating for approximately 1,000 fans is completely covered and standing room observation space will once again be available on the fence-line in front of the bleachers.

Jack Hammett Sports Complex is at 2750 Fairview Rd., in Costa Mesa.
