Laguna Art Museum Presents Rebeca Méndez for Ninth Annual Art & Nature Festival
10.27.21
Laguna Art Museum will present the ninth annual Art & Nature festival, a multidisciplinary exploration of art’s various engagements with the natural world, November 4-7.
The museum will also hold the annual Art & Nature Gala on November 6, an immersive evening of Art & Nature supporting Laguna Art Museum’s far-reaching art education and exhibition programs.
This year’s Art & Nature featured artist, Rebeca Méndez, will present Any-Instant-Whatever, a multimedia experience depicting a contemplation of a day in Los Angeles that captures a cloud-rich sky above the lively city and its inhabitants.
According to Méndez, the sky and the sun in Los Angeles are both great unifying forces, infusing a certain relaxed Southern Californian style in its people, as well as equalizers, whose light and warmth caress everyone. People in Los Angeles from all walks of life experience the same sky—something we all have in common.
Additional Art & Nature festival programming includes the First Thursdays Art Walk on November 4, a keynote lecture on November 5 from Dr. Daniel Lewis, the Dibner Senior Curator for the History of Science & Technology at the Huntington Library, Art Museum & Botanical Gardens, the new Jessie Arms Botke art exhibition opening on November 5, the Art & Nature Gala on November 6, the annual Family Festival on November 14, plus additional events throughout the fall season.
Continuing Laguna Beach's legacy as a center for the arts, Art & Nature provides a unique opportunity for the Southern California community to come together for a festival of art and ideas, to inspire artists, and enhance the appreciation of nature as a place that inspires awareness about the environment we share.

Lemon & Honey Day Spa Debuts Sound Healing Facial
10.27.21
Lemon & Honey Day Spa, a boutique luxury day spa, offering facial treatments, massage therapy, waxing and spray tanning services with locations throughout Orange County, is pleased to bring the powerful benefits of sound healing to its signature facial experience with an all-new “Ohm” Facial Treatment which some have likened to a “sound bath for your face.”
Always on the vanguard of skincare solutions and natural wellness trends, blending western and eastern practices, Lemon & Honey is helping to pioneer this innovative relaxation experience in Southern California.
The Eastern medicine practice of sound healing tunes into the body’s sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, allowing for a deeper state of calm throughout the mind and body with soothing vibrations. Specially trained by an expert sound guru who has studied sound healing for the past 5 years under a gong master, Lemon & Honey’s expert estheticians use tuning forks and Tibetan Singing Bowls in combination with a facial treatment customized for each guests’ skin type, leaving recipients in a deep rested state and glowing from the inside out. Sound therapy also causes cells to release nitric oxide, enabling a higher level of mental clarity and rejuvenating benefits of increased blood flow.
“Anxiety, tension, and stress have increased on a universal level over the past two years, inspiring us to seek new ways to help our customers achieve deeper states of relaxation through self-care,” said Rebekah Zepfel, owner of Lemon & Honey Day Spa. “Our new Ohm Facial is a perfect blend of sound therapy and skin treatment, leaving you not only appearing renewed and relaxed but also feeling like a whole new person from head to toe. We’re proud to be the first in Orange County to offer this unique and incredibly restorative treatment.”
Lemon & Honey will offer its new “Ohm” Facial with Sound Healing at its two spas located in Villa Park and Newport Beach. The treatment is offered alongside a full suite of spa services including chemical peels, hydrafacials, massage therapy, airbrush tanning, as well as waxing and sugaring services. A large inventory of premium and organic skincare products are also offered at spa locations and online.
