CUCINA enoteca Celebrates December with Two Festive Dining Events
12.20.23
CUCINA enoteca, the iconic California-Italian dining destination with locations in Newport Beach and Irvine, is gearing up for a month of festive culinary celebrations. In the spirit of the season, they are presenting their annual Feast of Seven Fishes dinner series and offering luxurious New Year's Eve dining specials.
Feast of Seven Fishes at CUCINA enoteca // December 21 - 24th
CUCINA enoteca is known for its commitment to authenticity while adding innovative Cal-Ital twists to their cuisine. This year, they've put a contemporary spin on an old Italian tradition. The Feast of the Seven Fishes, traditionally observed on Christmas Eve, brings Italians together around the table for a "family-style" feast consisting of seven courses of pescatarian delights. CUCINA enoteca's take on this holiday tradition features seven distinct seafood specials, each available on a rotating basis during the seven days leading up to Christmas Eve (from December 18th to 24th). Each restaurant location will infuse its own creative flair into these seafood specials, highlighting the 'fish of the day' and offering diners a taste of the ocean alongside their regular menu. Reservations can be made for this event here.
Here's the lineup of seafood specials:
- December 21st – Swordfish
- December 22nd – Oysters
- December 23rd – Lobster
- December 24th – Prawns
Location: CUCINA enoteca Irvine | 532 Spectrum Center Dr, Irvine.
CUCINA enoteca's New Year's Eve Dining Specials // December 31st
Ring in the new year with your loved ones and a glass of Champagne at CUCINA enoteca. Both their Newport Beach and Irvine locations are ready to make your New Year's Eve celebration a delicious one. Join them for delectable specials such as beef carpaccio, served with crispy mushrooms, parmesan, and black truffle grissini. Indulge in a scallop ravioli topped with citrus caviar butter, all while enjoying their regular menu offerings. It's the perfect way to welcome the new year in style.

Butcher’s House Celebrates 2nd Anniversary with Culinary Innovation and Retail Expansion
12.20.23
Butcher's House, the celebrated brasserie led by Chef-Owner Jeoffrey Offer, is marking its second anniversary this December. Since its grand opening in 2021, it has garnered acclaim as the '2021 Restaurant of the Year' by Orange Coast Magazine and secured a coveted spot among Orange County Register's '75 Best Restaurants.' As it steps into its third year of operation, the restaurant remains committed to serving its renowned cuisine du terroir while embarking on innovative endeavors like pop-ups and retail-oriented offerings.
At the heart of Butcher's House is its dedication to wood-fired steaks, expertly dry-aged and butchered in-house. Chef Offer skillfully blends classic and contemporary culinary elements, harmonizing time-honored techniques with influences drawn from modern French avant-garde dining culture. A recent addition to his repertoire, the Mr. J's Burger pop-up concept, represents a deliberate departure from his celebrated cuisine du terroir, instead focusing on America's beloved classic – the burger. Available on Wednesdays and Thursdays, Mr. J's Burger delights guests with a selection of street-style burgers made from in-house ground meat and crafted with simple, high-quality ingredients.
As Butcher's House ventures into its third year, Chef Offer continues to innovate by exploring retail-oriented products inspired by the restaurant's iconic offerings. Starting this month, patrons can take home the restaurant's signature Toulouse Sausage, available by the pound. This ready-to-grill delicacy is a homage to Offer's hometown in the south of France. Looking ahead to 2024, Offer plans to expand the range of retail products at Butcher's House to encompass ready-to-grill burgers, signature sauces, and even a curated selection of gourmet imports from France.
Chef Offer reflects on this evolution, stating, "The restaurant industry is continuously shifting, and to grow, it is essential to evolve with it. Exploring different service models and retail offerings allows us to meet our guests where they're at, whether that's with a dry-aged steak and glass of wine at dinner, a quick-service burger at lunch, or a grab-and-go item to prepare at home."
Located in SoCo, Costa Mesa (3321 Hyland Ave. Ste. D), Butcher's House warmly welcomes guests for dinner every night from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and offers weekend brunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mr. J's Burger is open exclusively on Wednesday and Thursday, between noon and 2 p.m.
