Puesto Launches ‘Plates’: A New Twist on Mexico City Flavors

Expanding its acclaimed menu of contemporary Mexico City cuisine, Puesto Mexican Artisan Kitchen & Bar now proudly presents a new category, "Plates," across all its venues. These Plates are available for both Lunch and Dinner, designed as entree selections that patrons can savor either before or with Puesto's celebrated tacos.
Each Plate is accompanied by handcrafted, organic, non-GMO blue corn tortillas, seasoned with herb-lime rice, and accompanied by classic black beans. At present, Puesto is excited to offer three distinctive Plate options, each meticulously crafted to emphasize both taste and harmony:
- Short Rib Birria (GF): Featuring succulent short rib paired with radish, onion, cilantro, Jalisco salsa, avocado, and a rich consomé.
- Pozole Verde (GF): A hearty dish of S.C. Farms pork, hominy, salsa fresca, cabbage, radish, cilantro, and avocado.
- Shrimp A La Plancha (GF): Prepared with Mexican shrimp, garlic butter, red onion, jalapeño, guajillo chile, avocado, and a tangy tamarindo-chile sauce.
Complementing the culinary additions, Puesto's beverage program introduces exciting new cocktail selections, elevating the craft bar experience. Beau du Bois, Puesto's VP of Bar & Spirits, unveils innovative drinks like the Honeydew Mezcal Margarita and Ginger Margarita, along with a novel Cadillac Margarita presentation that includes a miniature bottle of Grand Marnier.

- The Ultimate Taco Tuesday: Celebrating "Taco Tuesday," Puesto offers a 50% discount on all tacos for dine-in customers from 3 p.m. until closing every Tuesday. Puesto's tacos stand out for their use of handmade, non-GMO, organic blue corn tortillas, jidori chicken, sustainable meats, fresh local seafood, and homemade salsas, with a variety of nearly a dozen unique tacos available.
- The Happiest Happy Hour: Weekdays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., enjoy Puesto's Happy Hour specials, including $10 Puesto Perfect margaritas, $9 wines by the glass, and half off all Snacks & Shares. Puesto draft beers, brewed at the Puesto Cervecería in Mission Valley, San Diego, are available for $6, featuring selections like the rotating Puesto IPA, Mexican Lager, and more. The Assistance League chapter serving OC-Costa Mesa-Newport Beach is gearing up for an exciting event - Denims and Diamonds Casino Night OC. An invitation is extended to everyone to partake in a night of fun and philanthropy.
Scheduled for March 2nd at the Newport Harbor Yacht Club, the Denims and Diamonds Casino Night promises an evening filled with entertainment and excitement. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., guests will indulge in cocktails, delectable hors d'oeuvres, and the chance to participate in both live and silent auctions.
The event will feature a variety of classic casino games including Blackjack, Roulette, and Craps, providing ample opportunities for guests to try their luck. Adding to the ambiance will be the presence of Elvis, who will undoubtedly bring some extra flair to the night.
In addition to the thrill of the games, attendees will have the chance to win fantastic prizes through various opportunity drawings. Each ticket purchase includes one premium drink, $150 in play money, and an opportunity drawing ticket, all for $175 per person.
What makes this event even more special is that it supports a worthy cause. The Assistance League is a volunteer-based non-profit organization dedicated to giving back to the community.
