Soul Fuel Yoga Fest

You can join the 1st annual Soul Fuel Yoga Fest at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free and open to locals and hotel guests who want to come out and share their passion for yoga, music and healthy foods on the hotel's new outdoor Marina Terrace, all while benefiting Rady Children’s Hospital. Attendees are encouraged to give a donation for the cause.
There will be a Vinyasa yoga class from Hella From Hellayoga from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; and an Acroyoga class from Steven Cummings and Gina Shiotani from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Music performances by Steve Gold from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; Aja Lee from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and many more.
Enjoy bites and more from Perfect Bar, Suja Juice, Clearly Kombucha, Every-Day California, Hideaway; RAU Chocolate, Nii Foods, Artic Zero, Asana Food, Aloe Glo, Buddha Tees, Wild Color and more.
Space and mats for yoga session are offered on a first come, first-served basis. $15 parking is available at the Convention Center.
Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina is at 333 West Harbor Drive in San Diego.

What Dreams are Made of Gala

On Friday, September 16, the Island Hotel in Newport Beach will serve as the perfect setting for The Literacy Project’s 7th annual gala, “What Dreams Are Made Of.”
The 2016 “What Dreams Are Made Of” gala is presented by Wienerschnitzel and will bring together passionate supporters who strive to give students with lesser means the foundational resources to continue their educations and realize their ambitions. TLP’s mission to implement its literacy program into classrooms where students are well below the English proficiency standards to improve their reading skills, at no cost.
The overarching highlight of the evening will be the presentations of three graduate students who recently completed TLP’s reading program.
The cocktail reception and silent auction starts at 5:30 p.m., the program and dinner starts at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $225 per person. For more information, visit here.
