Come out and explore Asian arts and culture at the Asian Pacific Festival celebrated at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina in Newport Beach the weekend of Oct 22-23 from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. The festivities will include live musical performances, cultural exhibits, a hip-hop competition, children’s art contest and authentic Asian foods from the represented countries.
One of the weekend's highlights will be the APF Scholarship Pageant complete with fashion and traditional costumes. It highlights the intellect, beauty, and grace in young Asian women as they represent their communities.
A Southern California Craft Beer & Wine Tasting is available for $45 each.

Casa Teresa’s 40-year ‘Ruby Gala’

Join Casa Teresa's "Ruby Gala" on Friday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Island Hotel Newport Beach celebrating 40 years of serving pregnant women in the community.
The black tie event includes a signature cocktail, dinner, silent auction, wine wall, video presentation and live auction items including a Montana Dude Ranch vacation, a Baja truck experience – with Cameron Steele, a Chicago weekend getaway and a Jean-Jacques Mamie diamond and gold necklace valued at $8,000. The celebration will continue with a live performance by 9-piece local dance band, Retro-Soul, and much more!
Guests will enjoy the beauty of the Island Hotel while learning about Casa Teresa and its impact during the past 40 years. Casa Teresa provides a temporary home and on-going support for pregnant women 18 years of age and older who are alone. Life skills and education programs prepare these women to make loving and informed decisions for themselves and their babies.
Tickets cost $200 each.
