Lido Theater Celebrates the Season with Holiday Classic It’s a Wonderful Life

Ring in the holidays by enjoying the classic film, It’s a Wonderful Life at the Lido Theater in Newport Beach, Friday, Dec. 15 through Thursday, Dec. 21, at 7 p.m. nightly, with additional 1 p.m. matinees on Sat., Dec. 16 and Sun., Dec. 17. Also, on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m., moviegoers can visit with Santa, and enjoy carolers and complimentary hot cocoa before the movie starting at 7 p.m.
Harkening back to the Golden Age of Hollywood, the Lido Theater is the perfect setting to enjoy the award-winning Frank Capra movie that has become a holiday favorite over the years. Released in 1946, the drama tells the story of an angel sent to help a frustrated businessman by showing him what life would have been like if he had never existed.
Tickets for children aged 2-11, and seniors ages 61 and better are $9; with matinee showings, $9.50, students and military with ID are $10; and adult tickets after 5 p.m. are $11.50. To purchase tickets or for more information visit RegencyMovies.com or call 949.673.8350.

WINTER WONDERLAND AT UNION MARKET TUSTIN

Union Market Tustin at the District will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. Families are invited to enjoy free Santa photos, live music and complimentary tastings from foodie-favorites such as Milk Box, The Kroft, The Dirty Cookie, Churned Creamery and Portola Coffee. The weather forecast might even call for magical “snowfall” outside that evening. Be sure to have your smartphones ready to capture flurries of “snowfall” every 15 minutes in the courtyard just outside Union Market.
Inside Union Market, Portola Coffee will be offering free hot cocoa to kids and nearby, snag a photo or selfie opp with Santa at no cost. Over at Le Petite Chenille, Union Market’s newest boutique that offers one-stop shopping for specialty baby and children’s goods and apparel, kids can enjoy an ornament- crafting table while Black Steel Barbershop will be offering 50-percent off all haircuts.
And don’t forget to swing by the new District Freeze Ice Rink afterward to complete your Winter Wonderland experience.
