Adam Fleischman, the man behind the Umami Burger empire, will be celebrating his third Umami eatery in Orange County, when his "flagship" location opens in Anaheim on July 1st. Fleischman's savory burger concept, Umami just opened last week in Laguna and at the Camp in Costa Mesa in late March. Even with his busy schedule, Fleischman took the time to answer our 20 Questions.
1. If you had to begin a different career, what would you do??
Movie producer.
2. What’s your most prized possession?
Watch collection.
3. Favorite drink?
Mojito.
4. What are you cutting out because of the economy?
Gasoline.
5. Fantasy purchase?
Yacht.
6. What can’t you live without?
My computers.
7. What’s next on your “to do” list?
Sailing.
8. Biggest regret?
Didn't start cooking earlier.
9. Cause that you’re most interested/involved in?
Hunger eradication.
10. Your dream day in Orange County?
Driving all day with a great dinner and wine!

My kitchen of course.
12. What was the best day of your life?
Tomorrow.
13. Last concert that you went to?
Bob Seger.
14. Favorite vacation spot?
Maui.
15. If you had to live somewhere else, where would you like to move?
San Francisco.

Rilke, Henry Miller.

Katsuya.
18. Biggest accomplishment?
Keeping to this diet I am now.
