The time is now for spotting blue whales and huge pods of dolphins on whale watching excursions. Newport Landing Whale Watching cruises reports that the odds are in your favor that you will see migrating blue whales, even finbacks and minke whales have been spotted.

The company is offering a $15 whale watching cruise special now through Sunday, Aug. 19. Cruises depart at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 6 p.m. daily and they last two and a half hours. Newport Landing is at 400 Main St. in Newport Beach. 949.675.0551.

Fashion Camp OC’s Fash Bash

Fashion Camp OC is hosting it's 1st Annual Summer Event - FASH BASH this Saturday August 11th from 11 a.m to 2 p.m at the OC Mart Mix...bring the kids, bring yourselves, I'll be there; It's going to be free & fun!!

This creative day of fashion will include Inspiration boards, sketching, flower hair wreaths, photo booth, fashion camp counselor challenge. And will feature
Fashion Camp OC wallets by Whodini Handmade, Make-up Not Fake-Up by My Beauty, Braid Bar by Paul Mitchell, Mini Mani's by Lollipop Nails, lemonade tasting by Hubert Lemonade, gelato from N’Ice Cream, Food Trucks and Fashion Camp giveaways. Then conclude with a fashion show styled by the teen campers using their own creations as well as showing off everything they have made at camp.

Fashion Camp OC is a creative learning space for not just kids and teens but also adults. They highlight and teach all aspects of the fashion industry including sketching, designing, draping, styling and sewing. As well as offer after-school classes, Day Camps, Summer, Spring and Winter Break Camps, private parties and birthday parties.
