Erik Nelsen’s Summer Camps Are Back!

The days are getting longer; the beach is heating up and the school year is almost done. Do you have summer plans for your kids?

Why not send them to one of Erik Nelsen’s all-day beach camps? Erik Nelsen, a renowned local surfer, has been running his programs for 38 years and is the #1 youth beach camp in Orange County. Choose from three unique programs: Erik Nelsen Surf Camps, 15th Street Beach & Bay Sports, or Ocean Adventure Programs.

Not only will your child learn how to ride waves in a safe environment, but they will also learn about ocean safety and awareness, tides and waves, the marine environment, and ecosystems, while building confidence in and around the ocean. Some students will learn Standup Paddle Boarding, Body Boarding, and Kayaking, and others will delve into tidepool exploration,  and snorkeling adventures, and engage in laboratory experiments, dissections, and microscope observations within a classroom setting.

Their CPR & First Aid trained staff is top-notch (my boys worked there for many years), and I can personally attest to the first-class organization, structure, and FUN that Erik provides at all his programs. These camps are the talk of the town!

New campers are greeted with camp tees and hats every Friday. Equipment like boards, wetsuits, and tents are readily available, and the staff ensures sunscreen application all day long. Each camper gets a surfing photo at the end of the week, along with Friday pizza parties and take-home goodie bags.

Sign-ups are limited and programs are filling up fast.
