Laguna Art Museum Showcases ‘Reflections of Resilience’

The Laguna Art Museum is excited to present "Reflections of Resilience," an exhibition available now through August 25, 2024. This showcase features the extraordinary works of the 2024 Master of Fine Art graduates from Laguna College of Art+Design (LCAD), marking the zenith of their educational and artistic pursuits. 

It highlights their exceptional dedication, creativity, and distinctiveness. These artists have refined their abilities at LCAD, blending traditional techniques with modern perspectives to create art that is both impactful and memorable.

The exhibition spotlights emerging artists Cara Baxter, Jason Dowd, Amber Foote, Sara Khakpour, Ryanne Phillips, Janaise Sanchez, Eric Theodore, and Kevin Yaun. Their paintings and drawings delve into the dynamic interplay between personal reflection and external realities. "Reflections of Resilience" invites the audience to immerse themselves in a blend of rationality and poetic expression, fostering deep contemplation and engagement with the art.

Goodwill of Orange County Opens New Irvine Donation Site

Goodwill of Orange County has inaugurated a new Donation Center in Irvine, situated in the parking area of Irvine United Congregational Church. This attended donation site operates on Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., welcoming donations of gently used goods.

This opening is part of Goodwill OC’s strategic initiative to double its impact and presence throughout Orange County over the next decade.

As a nonprofit social enterprise focused on employment, Goodwill OC relies on donations to support its mission of serving over 25,000 individuals each year with extensive workforce development programs.

Looking ahead, Goodwill OC is set to open its 25th store in Fountain Valley on April 26. This store will introduce a new boutique concept within its larger retail space and will incorporate contemporary design features to enhance the shopping experience for secondhand goods.
