Travel Channel’s Top 10 The Beachcomber
07.16.15
How great is it that the Travel Channel chose a local spot, The Beachcomber at Crystal Cove for Best Brunch in their top 10 “Travel’s Best: Summer Foods” for 2015? The TravelChannel.com relied on culinary experts, award-winning chefs and “foodies” to scour the country to find the most incredible summer eats and The Beachcomber was the only spot in California to make the cut.
The Beachcomber café is right on the beach in the Crystal Cove area of Newport Coast – perfect for all day dining—breakfast, lunch and dinner.
At brunch, you can indulge in a trio lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes with warm mixed berry compote, powdered sugar and whipped cream; or a breakfast Panini with scrambled eggs, Emmental cheese, turkey bacon, wilted baby spinach, chipotle aioli, ciabatta roll and choice of spiral ham, sausage, turkey bacon, veggie sausage, apple wood smoked maple bacon, or Portuguese sausage.
The steak chilaquiles are a local favorite, with a flank steak braised in guajillo sauce, corn tortillas, cotija and cheddar cheeses, sour cream, avocado puree, diced tomato and green onions and topped with a sunny side up egg.
Then, treat yourself to dessert with the Beachcomber’s famous beignets with syrup, powdered sugar and whipped cream.
Open daily from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The Beachcomber is at 15 Crystal Cove in Newport Coast .949.376.6900.
