This holiday season, guests visiting Hilton Anaheim, Orange County’s largest hotel property can look forward to festive décor, special entertainment, thematic treats, and a special fall and winter menu. The 1,572 room is glistening with colorful lights, Christmas trees, and festive decorations galore while paying homage to the property’s locale. On display in the Grand Lobby is Christmas Tree Lane– trees donated and decorated by local Anaheim community partners that are auctioned off in early December. Proceeds from the decorated trees are donated to the local Orange County nonprofit, Eli Home to help break the cycle of women and child abuse.

More than a grocery store, Amis de la Terre Market in Costa Mesa is a zero-waste market. Now, you can find your favorite organic pantry staples and health foods without contributing to the waste cycle. Amis de la Terre Market is the brainchild of newlyweds Jessica Walden and Chris McGuire, two graduate students of the UCI Ph.D. program in Earth System Science. After years of research on the ocean, while finding microplastics in water samples from local beaches, they decided to create an answer to eliminating plastic packaging from pantry staples that can have a dramatic impact on consumer plastic waste.
The newly opened Bloom Restaurant + Bar in San Juan Capistrano marks the fifth restaurant for owner Russ Bendel and his partners: chef Jared Cook, beverage director Gabe Whorley and operations VP Kyle Simpson. Their sister restaurants include Vine in San Clemente; Ironwood in Laguna Hills; Olea in Newport Beach; Sapphire (& The Pantry) in Laguna Beach.
